Pumpkin description:

Pumpkins are among the cash crops that can fight food insecurity, ill health and poverty harmoniously. A Pumpkin creates financial stability as well as contains multi-health and environmental benefits once grown well and consumed. Pumpkin crops take a short time to mature (3-4 months) and can be preserved naturally after harvest and last for eight months if well looked after.  Pumpkins are the human's most nutritious and low in saturated fat and very low in cholesterol and sodium, a medicinal and income sustaining crop.

It is a good source of vitamin E (Alpha Tocopherol). Thiamin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Iron, Magnesium and Phosphorus  and very good source of Dietary Fibre, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Riboflavin, Potassium, Copper and manganese.  From a medicinal stand point, pumpkins have had a number of applications overtime as they are recommended as a cure for freckles, used as a remedy for snake bites, used in facial and anti- wrinkle crèmes, contains no cholesterol, are low in salt, seeds can be roasted as a snack, seeds also increase man power for men, residues used in animal feeds. Pumpkins have flowers that are edible and can be added to salads, contain beta carotene, which helps to prevent certain types of cancer and lower the risks of heart disease, the seeds can also help prevent prostate cancer. JOSMAK International (U) Limited promotes organic farming and all pumpkins used are organically grown. This makes them highly demanded because contains no scientifically modified organisms.

Company leadership and management      

The organizational structure consists of a board of directors, General Manager, Accountant, Plant foreman and Plant workers.  The general manager is primarily responsible for marketing of the products.  The Accountant is responsible for all the financial matters in the organization.  The foreman is responsible for the productions in the organization.  Workers are responsible for the production process and can either be on full time or part time basis.
